UCLA is responsible for writing and maintaining the software simulation of the hardware we design. We simulate the functionality of the entire trigger primitive system, from the LCT cards through the Sector Receivers. This simulation is part of the overall simulation of the entire CMS detector, in a program called ORCA.

We also use this code to study the features and abilities of our hardware. We participate in the Muon Physics Group of the Higher Level Trigger study.
