The UCLA CDF group studies  the  highest  energy particle collisions in the world. We are currently preparing for our new upgrade and run, which will give us 20 times more data than before.

CDF is an abbreviation for the Collider Detector at Fermilab Experiment. The CDF collaboration consists of a few hundred High Energy Physicists from institutions around the world. Our goal is to better understand the fundamental particles and forces in the universe. One of CDF's more important contributions has been the discovery of the top quark, the last of the six quarks predicted by the standard model.

Our group has finished testing of Low Mass Drell Yan, which had not been tested since run0. To find out more about this click here.

This page has been developed to assist us in distributing information throughout our group, and also to give people outside of our group -- particularly those people who followed the link from the UCLA Dept. of Physics & Astronomy web page -- a glimpse at a High Energy Physics research group. In particular, we have developed one of the most versatile facilities for testing photomultiplier tubes in the world. And, from data acquisition to analysis to presentation, we span many computer platforms and display real-time information using the web.
